Piraeus Bank S.A. announces that the merger procedure for the merger of Piraeus Bank S.A. by absorption of “Hellenic Industrial Development Bank S.A.” (ETBA S.A.) was concluded yesterday 16.12.2003 following the registration in the Registry of Societes Anonymes of the Deputy Minister’s of Development resolution No. K2-15289/16.12.2003 which approved the merger (registered under number MAE K2-1528/1528/16.12.2003); Hellenic Industrial Development Bank S.A. was striken out of the Registry of Societes Anonymes (registration no. MAE K2-15338/16.12.2003). It is noted that the Bank of Greece had approved the merger as of August 2003 by way of resolution 156/1/27.08.2003 of the Committee for Banking and Credit Issues.
Piraeus Bank S.A. also announces to the public that trading of the shares of Hellenic Industrial Development Bank S.A. (ETBA S.A.) in the Athens Stock Exchange will cease as of today 17.12.2003.
