Piraeus had a solid start to 2026, with the first quarter results confirming its good progress towards achieving its full year targets, generating 15% return over tangible equity and loan book expansion by €1.3bn in Q1, reflecting strong demand across all business segments.

Financial results
Historically high smoothed net profit of €932 million in the nine months, which corresponds to €0.72 earnings per share, leading to an updated target for earnings per share above €0.90 in 2024. Net profit was €320m in Q3, or €0.25 earnings per share, up 15% year-on-year.
