Integration of Millennium Bank systems in Piraeus Bank also completed

Over the weekend of 7 and 8 December 2013, Piraeus Bank successfully completed the project of integrating into the Group's IT environment the former MILLENNIUM BANK branch network systems. This marks the completion of a 14-month period, during which 6 banks became 1, for the benefit of the 6.9 million customers of the now single Piraeus Bank. According to international reports, these 14 months represent a record time in banking history.

As of Monday 9 December 2013, all customers of the former MILLENNIUM BANK and Piraeus Bank networks will be able to use the same IT systems and the same procedures through an integrated network of 960 branches, 2,060 ΑΤΜs and 400 Easypay machines.

As of the same date, all customers will able to carry out their electronic transactions through winbank, the multi-award-wining e-banking platform, as well as through all other Piraeus Bank e-banking channels.

The Piraeus Bank IT systems operate in the Group's new data center, the only data centre in Greece holding a certification by the American Uptime Institute.

The integration of MILLENNIUM BANK IT systems was the fifth and last step following the integration of the former ATEbank IT systems and the domestic networks of the former Hellenic Bank, the former Bank of Cyprus and the former CPB Bank.

The systematic and operational integration of all five banks has been completely successful and was completed much earlier than originally planned; this offers an additional competitive advantage to Piraeus Bank in the framework of its Management strategy for the establishment of a new, strong bank in the SE European region.
