Piraeus Bank, in collaboration with "Hellas Frost – Elliniki Ikoagrotiki S.A.", has initiated a new Contract Farming programme for vegetable producers in the Prefecture of Evros. The funding proposal for frozen vegetables contract farming is essentially intended to help rationalise production organisation and financially support the entire production process, from the producer to processing and selling of products by the said company. The facilities of "Hellas Frost - Elliniki Ikoagrotiki S.A." are located in Metaxades, Prefecture of Evros, and the company is active in the industry of fresh vegetables quick and deep freezing.
The entire production process, from sowing to harvesting and packaging, is carried out under stringent conditions with state-of-the-art production means, under the supervision of specialised scientists. Vegetables are cultivated in the fertile valleys of rivers Evros, Ardas and Erythropotamos, where the company's factory facilities are located.
ELLINIKI IKOAGROTIKI S.A. manufactures its products on the basis of the Integrated Agricultural Production Management system with the following main objectives:

Through the specific Piraeus Bank Contract Farming programme, the producer is provided with all the required liquidity at highly competitive terms, exactly when he needs such liquidity, while payment of the production agreed to be delivered to the company is guaranteed. The Program covers the entire crops production, supply and manufacturing chain by supporting, in an organised manner, the mutually beneficial collaboration between producers and companies.
This new collaboration brings the number of Contract Farming and Livestock Breeding agreements to a total of 18, attesting the firm will of Piraeus Bank to support and encourage any sound productive effort in the economy.
