Following a query by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission in relation to recent press reports published in the media with respect to an alleged absorption of ANEK SA. by ATTICA SA HOLDINGS being under consideration, Piraeus Financial Holdings would like to communicate to the investment community that its subsidiary Piraeus Bank is considering and evaluating on an ongoing basis any potential alternative proposal for the management and restructuring of its investment and loan portfolio, with the main objective of supporting the enhancement of the business activities of its clients and consequently the prospects of the Greek economy and the creation of value for its shareholders, customers and employees.
Piraeus Financial Holdings will inform the investment community in a timely manner in case of any transaction is finalized and has received the necessary approvals from its competent bodies, in accordance with the requirements of the applicable legal and regulatory frameworΚ.
