Piraeus Group monitors and manages the impacts it has on the environment and calculates its annual “carbon footprint”. It sets targets to reduce emissions from its operations, lending, and investments.

Green procurement

Piraeus has integrated green criteria in its procurement policy. It selects environmentally friendly products, such as environmentally certified paper, recycled consumables and energy-saving light bulbs, while the fleet of corporate vehicles is being gradually replaced with low/ zero-emissions vehicles. In addition, electrical and electronic equipment (screens, laptops and refurbished PCs) are gradually being replaced with energy-efficient appliances and new generation laptops.
