Recycling

Piraeus Group monitors and manages the impacts it has on the environment and calculates its annual “carbon footprint”. It sets targets to reduce emissions from its operations, lending, and investments.

Recycling

Recycling programs at Piraeus Bank are a key component of its ongoing and systematic efforts to improve environmental performance. Recycling bins for paper, ink cartridges, batteries, and light bulbs are installed across all building facilities, and corresponding collection programs are in place. In addition, packaging waste is recycled in the cafeteria areas of selected large administrative buildings. Employee participation plays a vital role and is actively encouraged and rewarded through annual recycling competitions held among branches and administrative buildings, an initiative that has been running for 14 consecutive years.
